When planning to build a basement, the groundwater level is very important. If it is high, it is practically impossible to build a dry basement. If the groundwater level is much higher than the floor level of the intended basement, it would be more correct to abandon the idea of building a traditional basement and choose an ECO basement instead. Since it is made of moisture-proof material, a high groundwater level is not an obstacle to installing an EKO cellar. The round self-supporting structure of the EKO cellar prevents groundwater from deforming the body. We can install an EKO cellar in any place of your choice on your land.
An EKO cellar is easy to install – within one day. It is partially buried in the ground to a depth of 1.8 meters and is covered with a layer of earth that is approximately 1.4 m thick. The earth layer acts as an insulating barrier between the changing temperatures of the external environment and the almost constant temperature of the ground, ensuring that the cellar does not overheat in summer and does not freeze in winter.
The costs of installing and delivering a cellar start from 1400 EUR.
Before ordering a cellar, our employee will come to you and provide you with a free consultation on the possibilities of installing a cellar on your land. Our employee will help you choose the best place for digging the basement and determine the type of basement digging – with or without lowering the groundwater level.
To prevent groundwater from pushing the basement out of the ground, it is secured to reinforced concrete blocks with stainless steel chains during installation.
Since the basement digging is done using a mini excavator or tractor equipment, please consider whether your property can be accessed by equipment.
